Default 1000 watt China generator part needed

Hi folks, I was given this 1000 watt generator made in China by a friend. Its made so when something breaks you scrap the whole thing as they can be had new on Ebay for $120.00 with free shipping. This runs great and is real handy but runs too hot because the plastic air shield over the cylinder is gone and I need to buy one. Does anyone on here have a unit that died they want to sell this off of before they scrap it? Thanks.

It might be simpler to make one out of sheet metal. i had one but the recoil broke so it went to the local junk auction

got one that still works
used for the hedge trimmer
or other small hand tool
when far from an outlet

but when it quits
I won't be posting
[no serviceable parts inside]
ashes to ashes
junk to junk

you are lucky a piece of sheet metal may do the job

There is a similar Yamakoyo generator on local craigslist, which led me to:

Yours resembles the PT1100, but they only show the front and you only show the back! They have a free 866 phone number if you want to see if parts are available.

Save yourself some grief and fashion the duct yourself.
