Default Doug Reed and Twinslan.net

Doug has put together almost every onan manual we'll every need.
We really want to thank you Doug for all that work.
Doug would probably be happy to add any manuals anybody sees that aren't there or any manual numbers that aren't right. Thank you for your time Doug your site helps a lot of people get these generators going again.

I want to add my thanks to Doug for arranging to host our library of Onan manuals. It's an incredible resource to have all these older manuals available for download.

Looks like the list is sorted by manual numbers. If your searching for a gen model like NHE you can cut and paste that list into Microsoft Word. Then use auto search/find for the model number (search for NHE). Easier than looking thru whole list. From Word you can directly link to manual by holding down control and clicking on entry. Plus by saving it in Word you have the list in case the list disappears in the future.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

To find manuals, I just go to the web page and use the Find (ctrl+F) function in the browser. Just type in a few letters of the model and you should get every instance where it is used. If you can't find it that way you will have to check the 932-0112D reference manual to find the part number you need. If you still can't find your generator or the manual isn't there, then you'll need to ask and see if one of the gurus can find it......

I haven't been around much since Christmas, but I just went through the forum looking for every instance of "dropbox.com" and I'll be uploading what I missed. There are over 65 new files to upload! It looks like Max Thompson and Kpack were very busy back in Jan, Feb, March! Thanks guys!

Doug.

Doug can you post the index at the top of the twinslan site for manuals so we can direct them to the index and then they can find the manuals from there? If they need help they can always ask.
Mike

Sent you a bunch of manuals. Check dropbox. Kevink may have others also.

Doug when there gone Ill send more.

OK, I downloaded 35 files, 147 MB, and deleted them from Dropbox. Ready for more, although I will not have much time to work on them until Monday.

Yes, I think I can force a new file list on a daily basis, but I'll need to play with it after the weekend. Personally, I think it does just as well to use the "Find in page" (ctrl+F) function in the browser to search the web page. But the other list might still be useful. Perhaps if I give it a name like "000-0000 Available files list.txt" it will always sort to the top.

Lets take this discussion back to email rather than tie up the forum? I'll see the email even if I'm not reading the forum every day.

I've sent Doug a few, including two manuals on the old W3S series. When I come across anything not on his site, I will be sure to pass it along. My collection is somewhat disorganized. I'm trying to organize it into folders labelled by the model number.

I wonder if Doug would be interested in setting up a page for the old Kohler generators. I have some manuals I could pass along, mostly for the RV models. Apparently Kohler is not interested in digging up information on the older models, but they will provide a wiring diagram if you give them the "spec" number.

I don't have as much interest in the Kohler gensets, but I have collected a few manuals for models I've seen on Craigslist. I tend to find their manual system a bit chaotic after the way Onan numbered their manuals. I considered putting what I have in a Kohler directory on Twinslan, but I haven't taken the time to organize them so you could find anything....

So the short answer is yes, I could do it. The long answer is I'd prefer to wait until I catch up with what Mike and Kelly will be sending me.....

FYI, the server says there are just over 600 files using 2.3GB of space in the Onan directory at Twinslan.net. And I've got another 83 files and 700MB of files here to check and upload.... And Mike is ready to send me more..... Oops, he has been busy and there are 30 more waiting for me....
