Default Onan JB Points

Does anyone know the correct NAPA part number for points that will fit an Onan JB? I would like to keep a spare set on hand

Terry

I wanted to do the same as you Terry. I kept looking on ebay and searching the web. sometimes they seem hard to find try to google Onan: 160-0002 as for a condenser, they can be had but can sometimes be expensive. a decent quality condenser from an automobile will work it should be .3 mfd. Others on here have had the same points in their JB's for years with no problems. A very reliable system if properly installed.

Hi neighbor,

One option is to use the old points and a Point Saver, overnightsolutions.com, which is a transistor like switch for the coil. This way the points only see about .3 Amps and 12 Volts. The point saver also has a LED static timing light.

Napa #7-01035 replaces 160-0002 these also fits cck ,cckb points.
Now the condenser for the JB Has the tab on the end to fasten with screw not sure what Napa number would be I know the onan number is 312-0116 value is .3MF 300DC check with napa take that number with you there is an older fellow at my NAPA and he is good at running cross reference for me.

This looks like a suitable replacement for the 312-0116 condenser.

Napa Condenser is
Quote:
Champion: H-8

NAPA, Points: 7-01035

NAPA, Condenser: 7-01312

Brigg's, 68768, part, for the plunger seal
Good for CCK, MCCK too.
Plunger seals just seem to last forever.
