Default Round tank for Briggs?

Hi, does anyone know if there is a source (even a repro) round tank that would fit on a late 40's Briggs 2 1/2 hp horizontal shaft engine? I have an old Simplicity walk-behind tractor (sorry don't have the numbers handy at the moment, it's at my other house) and the engine is either a 2 1/2 or 3 hp Briggs, with the round tank mounted on the front top of the shroud.

As you can see, it's pretty well gone. Rest of the tractor is salvageable, and engine turns and has compression. Any ideas on a tank, let me know.

Looks to be a N or I series engine.

Those tanks show up at auctions and swap meets frequently, at least here in the east. Sometimes you can get a good deal, other times not. Haven't looked but I wouldn't be surprised if tanks like that show up on ebay, too.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I'm watching the one on eBay, but don't know if I can swing even a cheap purchase at the moment.. unemployed but i have an interview tomorrow. So hopefully there's some light at the end of the tunnel.

I bought this tractor right before I lost my job so it's just been sitting and waiting on funds to get started. Thanks for the input... we'll see what tomorrow brings. JB Weld, yeah... might try that, too.

Best of luck on that interview! Hope all works out for you. That is by far the worst rusted tank I have ever seen! Looks as though you have luck on your side already, those front mount cultivators are very rare.
