Default Portland Spring Swap or Portland Summer Show

I have the opportunity to attend the Portland Summer show this year, but what I would like to know is which show, spring swap or summer show, is better for selling things (engines, parts, supplies). I have sold stuff at the swap for the past 3 years but I have never been to the summer show before and would like to attend. I am unable to attend both shows. However, I need to go to the show where I can sell the most(not trying to sound greedy but this a part time business for my wife and I). What are your thoughts?

Summer show. World's largest gas engine show....world's largest gas engine flea market.

At least that's my opinion. Others can give their thoughts.

IF you are able to get a spot for the summer show is the question... last year they ran out of spots and was parking vendors where they usually plow... the cost is 60.00 per spot. i dont know the dimentions but not verry big.

personally i think the spring swap is better for sales...

ur not suppose to sell in the engine display area. if u don't want to be in the engine area then i'd recommend getting a vendor spot in the summer, u still show there. good luck

Spring swap is usualy well attended, its all over and done by early Saturday morning with Thursday and Friday being the main days anymore. Shame for the folks still working full time during the week. Space is cheaper as well. The summer show is huge, normal very hot and humid as well. Space is much more expensive. We attend all 3. The spring and fall are very weather dependant. fall is normaly cold and windy, was very small and not well attended in 2012. Spring had absolutly beautifull weather and was well attended. But it can be a mud bog as well if we get a wet spring. Hope to see you there. Mike and Michele T

Im planning on attending the spring swap meet. Are there many, if any antique tractors for sale at the spring meet?

Thanks!

There are normally a few. Not as many tractors and tractor parts for sale as the show though.

The gate opens Wednesday morning at 7 and does not close until Sunday night. After Wednesday morning, you can come and go anytime you want. Half of the fun is waking up each morning and seeing what goodies came in during the middle of the night. See you there!

What would it cost me at the gate if I showed up Friday only with two engines to sell ?
