Yes that is the valve I was talking about mine is just a hole that is not threaded
I am thinking of making a plug machined to port water back to the water supply
Thank You for the photos Bill

That engine is the same as mine
Do you have photos of the other side
Again Mine has fittings one at the crankcase and one on side of cylinder behind timer
Engine came with double drip oiler which mounted with two machine screws above the timer Thank You again for your help Bill

Photos touched up. This free program is excellent for photo editing. Or if you just want to use the MS Paint that comes will windows: https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=Awr9...O7bnI3MpR6dtU-

I have the same engine, very nice quality unit with a counterbalanced crankshaft. You're missing the cylinder head cap obviously, but if you want dimensions I can get you those. A metal spinner could make you up one out of brass or copper I guess. The originals were just steel, which wasn't the greatest choice for salt water, though it dents less easily.

There was a cast iron cover over the water pump gears originally. Can get you dimensions of that too if you want.

You've got the engine tag or did someone steal that?

Lots more photos and info on these over at www.oldmarineengine.com Just do a search and you'll see.
