I have sent stuff to Mike and Dave. I have one of the older 2KW Pincor units with a 5 HP Briggs engine. Probably an RF2000H, but no label on unit..
Use it quite often, very simple design. I have a bunch of pictures of the alternator dissasembled if any one needs to see the internals.

Jack,

That manual you sent me was spot on.......and I Thank You.

I picked this MW 3000W genset several years ago from a garage sale and I exercise it regularly. It seems that as long as I have it in the barn, I don't need it! Cheap insurance for certain.

Thanks again,

Bruce in Saint Ignace

I too can use the info. Hope to get the 4000 W, 10HP unit going. It has been the base for a collection of accumulation for about 6 years. Had it for about 20 years, and she never did put out. Time is up. She has to go, one way or the other. Retired now and have more reason to head to the garage. Hope the manual is still available.
Thanks,
Wayne

And a bad diode it was. I used a GKN71/12 from Mouser Electronics. My series bulbs and a drill told me it is fixed, On to the next neglected project.

Thanks,
Wayne

Hi Pete,
Pioneer-Gen-E-Motor (Pincor) made quite rugged and simple units. The documents I have do not discuss your model directly, but will certainly give you a good feel for how Pincor did things, schematics, etc. PM me an email address and they will be on their way.

hi Jack
got your manual in my email yesterday.. today just for the hell of it.. i put some gas in the air cleaner tube and wound the rope around the pulley.. and gave her a yank... well that big briggs doesn't turn over real fast by rope.. and my 63 year old shoulders don't work all that well either.. lol my model has 2 battery leads and a starter button.. what the heck, give it a try.. hooked my big battery charger to the leads and hit the starter button.. wooohooo! off she went.. put some gas in the tank and hit the button again.. she spit sputtered.. and then ran like a purring kitten.
ok nothing else to loose so i plugged in a electric grinder.. andit ran like it was plugged into the wall socket... i did some grinding on some scrap metal and put a load on the grinder.. that generator engine didn't change a rpm.. then i plugged a work light in and ran the grinder again... and again not a change in rpms... WOW this old generator works like a charm and is was way more quiet than my genrac.
now this thing sat out in a field for who know how many years.. it was covered in cut hay and junk... i blew it all off with a leaf blower at first.. and then with compressed air.
checked the oil even the oil was still clean..
i ran that generator all night had my shop yard lit up like a airport runway and it never slowed down or struggled..
i think i got a keeper here. lol.. it looks like crap.. looks like it should be siezed up and scrapped.. but newp... runs like new..
shut the gas off and let it run out.. tomorrow i'm going to try and running my 110 volt mig welder off of it..
thanks again Jack..
Pete

Hello everyone! I'm new here, and sorry to dig up an old thread. I have a old Pincor 3000w, model#RF3000HDV generator that was pretty much given to me. it is powered by a 7 horse Briggs and Stratton. long story short when I got it it had been sitting for who knows how many years. I put fresh gas in it and it fired up on the second pull of the cord so I tried different stuff running on it and it did well so I plugged my little Lincoln 140 welder into it and it did good for a little, welded with no problems. then the engine started pulsing and it shut down and it didn't start again. now I have cleaned the carb and got her running again and she idles beautifully. but the problem I am having is that now i am only generating 3 volts at the outlet on the generator head. I'm am very confused looking at the wiring for the generator head, I really only have any experience with 12v so this is a little out of my league and I cant find any wiring diagrams for the generator head at all. if anyone could help me find a manual with the diagrams or have any advice at all I would be very grateful!

thank you in advance!
Ben

Ben,
PM me an email address and I will send the manuals I have. One includes your unit. Little or no output may be caused by loss of magnetism, short or open in the wiring, bad brush contact, or bad diode(s). The manual has good troubleshooting procedures. If you need more help just ask.
