Can anyone give me measurements on the Kingston float for the 18-32? Mine has shrunk a little bit and I just bought one of those slugs to make one. Also, any bearing numbers on the tapered roller bearings for the governor shaft? I have F0709HM I think, haven't been able to find such yet but next comes measurements and a catalogue.

Took apart both governor drive shafts, the parts tractor had rusty bearings and on my tractor the bearings were completely shot. For reference, Timken #07098 and #07204 bearing and cup numbers and they are on order, looks like they can be had no problem. I imagine with the water pump, fan and magneto driven off this assembly these bearings are very important.
Also a pic of the governor gear tooth damage from the governor weights coming apart some time in its life.

Those are the same number bearings from the governor on my 12-20 case. It had the same bearings in the fan drive gear box also. I also had a ball thrust bearing on the governor shaft that was shot. If you need that one I was able to find new ones exactly the same on eBay. Even though my bearings in the governor were shot all the rollers were still in the cages. I found a couple loose rollers when I was cleaning things up so it must have had another set of bearings that had went bad. After I got it running I found out there was no oil getting to the bearings. I removed the oil line coming from by the oil pressure gauge to the governor and still no oil. Where the line attached by the pressure guage there was a flare fitting with just a very small hole in it. Must be to reduce the flow to the governor. It was plugged there. I'm not familiar with the 18-32 but if it has the same set up make sure your getting oil.

Ill have to check that fan drive, thanks. Looks like the fan driven shaft has those same bearings and the drive shaft has hyatt roller bearings on the drive cross shaft of the 18-32.
I also need to see what the heck is wrong with the focus on my camera.

Some cameras have a dedicated 'closeup' mode that you have to select.

I just replaced those bearings in my 12-20. Same bearing. My local supplier had them on the shelf. How was the ball bearing in the flyball assembly?

Something I found on the cam gears. Now I have three cam gears, all of them have some fault but two are very useable. Al three have the timing mark in a different location.
Near as I can tell the teeth were not cut exactly the same on the castings, but one gear is VERY far off of the other two and the other two are about half a tooth off from each other. The two crank gears I have to look at are a tooth different and where they are drilled and tapped for a lock screw is wayyyy off. I wonder if when they replaced a crank gear if maybe they just drilled and tapped a new hole in a different location? I have a really good crank gear that I could replace my worn one with, but it would have to be drilled in another spot as you cant re-drill at the original with half of it drilled and tapped in the crank.
By the way, the far left gear is actually marked in two places.

Got the drive gear for the first reduction shaft off the parts tractor, it actually went pretty good, had an old Grebb puller from a Mcormick-Deering tool board to use, these were actually an antique posi-lock puller.
The gib key end broke off so I drilled and tapped it to slide hammer it out, broke the darn tap off and tried to remove enough of it without success.
In the end, I think drilling the key deep relieved enough of it to make it come off with the key.

Interesting timing gears.
Does that mean each cam has a different location for the keyseat too?
Unique timing marks for every engine? Bizarre.

The two crank gears I have are one tooth apart which could sure explain the cam gear difference. One of the cam gears has unusual marks compared to the other two which are center punched. I sense a degree wheel in my future, I think I remember seeing one in my dreams last night, or was it a nightmare?
Never ran across this before, but I sure did notice that when the teeth were cut in the machined casting they all three ended up in different spots to some degree, one pair is really close and the third one is half a tooth off. BUT the keyways I have not lined up yet, therein could be the answer.
