Default Larry "Gomer" Beuhring

Larry D. “Gomer” Buehring, age 67, passed away on Tuesday morning, February 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born on April 23, 1949 in Oshkosh to Donald and Joyce (Rusch) Buehring,
Gomer graduated Oshkosh High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Gomer worked as an equipment operator for Winnebago County, but was known for his incurable collecting. He was a founder of the Pickett Steam and Gas Engine Club, a Chapter 437 Vietnam Vet Chapter member and would lend a hand ANYWHERE that he was needed.
Larry is survived by his mother: Joyce Buehring; sisters: Jane (Thomas) Hill, Julie Matulle and adopted sister: Wendy Hanson; brother: Thomas (Susan) Buehring; and he always treated his nieces and nephews: Amy, Kris, Paul, Betsy, Emily, Rebecca and Jonathon like they were his own. He is further survived by ten and another close to be due, great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Stanley (Lillian) Buehring and Carl (Rose) Rusch; father: Donald; and brother: Wayne.
A funeral service will be held for Gomer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-(Westside) with Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
The family would like to send a thank you to the many friends, family, neighbors and Aurora Hospice and medical team for their wonderful care and support of Gomer.

A generous man that will be missed. He is likely soaring on "Eagle's Wings"! Godspeed, Gomer.
