I have a 1897 12Hp Gaar Scott boiler, is there anyone out there with the engine and running gear or and engine with a bad boiler?

I have my grandfathers 1905 Garr Scott it is a 18 hp exhibition engine (short boiler). It is complete except the boiler is shot. Do you want to buy or sell your boiler? I live 30 miles North of Nashville, Tennessee. I know where Furguss Falls is. My uncle married a girl (Fern Tenter) from Dent.

Thanks. Did/does he want to sell it or purchase and engine, etc for it?

Roberts' 10 hp traction is the oldest I've seen.

They'd like something done with it, whether its finding some parts themselves or passing it on. We have our doubts that anything will turn up for such an early engine, though.

I have an orphan "minnie" engine that I'm starting to warm up to the idea of finding an "exhibition" boiler to run it. Maybe I should start an "orphanage" Thing is as I think about this sort of thing it would have to be some stationary contraption as I "never" drill holes in an antique. Don't think it's in me. Not sure my idea of using a seperate boiler is anything but "newbie" thinking but I find myself looking around at farm fields and junk yards these days as I drive around.
