Default Moffat Virtue V3 - Carbie help!

I recently purchased 2 of these. The first a 3Hp - incomplete and really just a parts engine. Missing Carbie, Mag, Exhaust, Piston and con rod - so not many parts.
The second a 2 1/4HP just missing tanks. Been stored outside so naturally it was seized. I wasn't too worried about this until I lifted the head and saw the horror show below. Cleaned out the crap and now got this soaking in a heap of penetrating oil.
The real problem is the carbie. Type with Float bowl. Float is almost cactus. Bottom pin almost rusted away and top pin gone completely.
There is also these odd looking weights at the top that fit into a Plug? which is rusted in place. I really don't understand how this works, as it seems upside down to me.
I would be grateful if anyone has any photos of the real thing so i can at least see how it works. I can always make a new pin for the float if I can see an example.
