Hi All,
I have been advised by Australia Post that as of Monday 5th October 2015 the Oily Rag postage costs will increase 5 to 22 cents per copy. This is for the new Regular postage timetable.
(For the Priority timetable the increase will be 18 to 36 cents)
They also advise, subject to ?ACCC approval that as of Monday 4th January 2016 there will be a further increase of 9 to 12 cents per copy (Regular postage) or 12 to 16 cents (Priority)

Delivery standards
Print Post is delivered Monday to Friday with letters and other mail.
Two delivery standards are available:
Priority delivery – refer to the following timetable (in business days):

For Priority delivery
Within metropolitan areas of capital cities or within the same city or town and environs: Same state 1 day
Other state —
Between metropolitan areas of capital cities:
Same state —
Other state 2–7 days
Between metropolitan areas of capital cities and country locations:
Same state 2–4+ days
Other state 4–10+ days
Between country locations
Same state 2–4+ days
Other state 5–10+ days

Regular delivery – add up to two additional business days on top of Priority timetable.

Unfortunately, this increase cannot be absorbed within the current subscription rate and will therefore have to be increased commencing October 1st
Readers will be notified of the price change.
(If your subscription renewal is due within the last 3 months and you wish to beat the increase, I'll accept early payment. If unsure when your sub expires please contact me. No pressure to do so.)

My apologies, but this is out of my control

Thank you for your time.

Best wishes, jayvee

Hi John,

Just another service downgrade by Government or its agencies. We all have to grin and bear it. Keep up the good work.

Its a pity it cant be sent by a freight company quick and cheap
I have items (about 2kg) sent from Brisbane often, I can put the order in a 9am Monday and Wednesday morning there's is a knock on the front door, Australian Post can't do that and It cost $1.50 less than by parcel post
Brisbane to Townsville about 1400ks

Hi All,
Just a courtesy note to say that #44 has just gone to print.
All being well, it will be in the post first thing Monday (30th) morning.
Hopefully, some of you will have by end of week. Others hopefully mid week following.
If I may ask a favour. To help with future planning, could you please let me know when you receive your copy. No pressure to do so, but it would be appreciated.

Another 30 seconds (of your life) wasted

Best wishes, jayvee
