Default Brownwall, Gifford and Deyo

Can any one tell me is there a relationship between Gifford, Deyo, and Brownwall engines. When I look at them I see many similarities.

Thanks Mick, The valve setups, mixers, flywheels etc on the Brownwall do look a lot like Gifford parts. May have been some copying going on.

Just joined.
I have a Gifford engine manufactured in Lansing, MI. My Granddad gave it to me for cleaning out his barn when I was a child probably 50+ years ago. I had it running many years ago and it has been stored since.
I would like to learn more about the Gifford if anyone has any information.
Thx,
Dan
