Hi,

I happen to have a brand new old stock tin of Castrol 2 stroke self mixing.

Going by the logo - late 1940s - early 1950s.

When you shake the tin, it sounds just as watery as the new stuff.

Regards,
Wayne

Hi Kevin in NC
I notice that you have up loaded some, or all of the manual. Unfortunately I am unable to open the pdf for some reason.
Thanks anyway.
Cheers Ken.

Wayne: the Denmark group over here - WestOz, could 'use' that tin of oil,
it would be perfect for this 'new-in-the-box' Seagull.
how about that, they also have a Clinton!
cheers Rod.

Why must non detergent oil be used in older 2 strokes Scotty? how does detergent and dispersant work in a 2 stroke engine as compared too 4 strokes?
and what ill affect do they have? does it make a difference having a pre mix solvent in a 30 or 40 weight 2 stroke oil when used in drip oiler lubrication and will be mixed with petrol through the crankcase induction cycle anyhow? thanks in advance for the answer for this complex and perplexing question.
