So you have a TACO unit that mounts in place of the timer off the end of the camshaft. It is driven by a right angle bevel gear. The governor is mounted between the cam drive and the new location of the Fordson timer now mounted on top of the whole mechanism. I have one of these but have never seen one setup. I would assume that any heavily worn parts in the governor must be fixed for smooth operation. Post pictures when you have this setup working. EdB

I took one of these apart about a year ago to clean up. My bearings were good and did not need replaced, and I can not remember a part number. But I do remember they were marked with MFG. and part number. I think they were a NICE bearing, but not sure. I am also about 99% sure the upper and lower were the same bearing.

I attached a picture of mine all apart. I did not have to remove the gear to get the shaft out. The weight assembly is held on with a taper pin and was easy to remove, shaft then slid out the bottom with gear on after removing cup plug at bottom.

I didn't find a identification on the bearing. But if it is NICE that's a huge help.
