Default Homelite 23A

I have a Homelite, Model 23A 115 2, S/N 291242 and am looking for manuals and parts. The parts I need are the fuel pick up tubes and ball check valves. Any help fining a source would be appreciated.

I rescued one of these from a scrap pile not long ago. There's a thread somewhere here called "small homelite generator" (I think) and there was some talk of the fuel system. I haven't had a chance to play with mine yet so I cant be of much other assistance but the smart guys will be along shortly I'm sure.

It's highly unlikely that you will come across any parts for that engine unless you find a donor machine. You'll probably have to make them yourself. As to a manual, I suspect the closest you will come is to get an old copy of "Small Engines Service Manual" by Howard Sams/Intertec Publishing. The ninth edition has all the information you need, I think. That edition was published in 1969 so the best you will be able to do is to hunt around used book purveyors until you unearth one. Going from memory (I have a 24A115-2 and a 24S3 pump) the tubes you need aren't too complicated and should be easily duplicated from small brass tubing.

Good luck!
