Interesting !
Does this same theory include Onan gensets that run at 1800 RPM ? If not, any idea of the comparisons of these ?

1800 RPM is all we were talking about. 3600 RPM, just double the number. 82 MPH.

Ahhhhh, so my Kohlers are plodding along at a nice, leisurely ~27 mph.

I've averaged at this point about 42 miles per hour of engine operation on my truck. I'm at 6200 hours and 264000 miles. I was running about 47, and the dealer guys said it was about 10 over average at the time (lotta highway for me). A bad cell in my battery for some reason reset the hour meter to 0 at around 5800 +-20 or so, so it throws a bit of error in and I haven't pounded out any huge road trips in about a year and a half. It's going to get in about a 7500-8000 mile one in the fall though :-)
