Default FM type R Magneto Application

had this mag in storage and it shows several numbers at the base. im curious to what these numbers are for? serial number? possibly these numbers are for dating the mag? can someone tell me if all of the FM type R have this number pattern at the base? also had a friend tell me this mag was used on early motorcycle engines? thank you for your input.

Your R was used on a couple different models of FM Z engines with that gear it was mainly used on the dishpan flywheel engines 1 1/2 -2 hp depending on the rating... Not used on anything but FM engines but adapted to different ones
