Default Need help on an Eisemann Magneto

I've got an old leroi d71 4cyl sitting in my garage that we thought was locked up. But, after pulling the mag I found out that it is the one that seems locked up. It turns about a quarter turn then stops dead. Now I'll admit I'm completely new to these things I've googled it and searched on here and haven't really found an answer so I come to you guys. Take it easy on me if it's something simple please lol

If your sure it's the mag then the only thing to do is disassemble the mag and find out what's wrong. Could be a bearing or something in the gear or the impulse. Lots of possibilities there.

This link has some Eisemann manuals to help you identify what kind of mag you have.

Does the engine turn over with the magneto off the engine? If so strip the magneto and find the problem child. As suggested and idea of what type of mag you have will help as well.
