Default Hobart GR303

Howdy,
I have a low hour GR303 that is perfect except that the fine current control rheostat is not functioning properly. The Hobart part number is 401428-13. Does anybody know where I can get one of these? I haven't had any luck. If I can't find one of these, do any of you folks know of some other part that will allow fine current adjustment? Thanks. Hugh

I don't know if this will help but I read a thread somewhere the other day somebody cleaned the back off the rheostat like you would slip rings and they got it working might try some fine sand paper but I really don't know the problem you are having

Hugh

Look for a thread I posted about a year ago. There is a name and phone # for a guy that knows everything about that welder.

Use the search link at the top of the page. Search "Hobart" and watch for my name.

Jim
