Default Lawrance flat twin

Hi. I just picked up a Lawrance flat twin from zolfo this weekend. It was a WWII apu powerplant, but beyond that I can find very little about it on the net. It has a data plate stating it was a type 1, model 30 c 2, made for the navy and makes 14.5 hp at 4100 rpm. Altho it has no shrouding, someone did mount a starter and flex plate to it. I would like to know more about the oil system as there is no oil tank or cooler attached to it. It appears to be a dry sump. I was also told that the jugs are the same as a 5 cyl lawrance radial, which I would LOVE to find, but until then, I'd like to get this running. Any idea's where I can find info or perhaps a manual on it? I found one of these on e-bay with a chest of spare parts and a manual, but it was going for $750.00 with a $1,200 buy it now. Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Lawrance flat twin

Hi again. I am still looking for information on this unique and seemingly very rare engine. I am especially needing help with the oil system so i can rig up the oil lines and make a reservoir/filter for it. Anyone know where i would go about finding the info i need? Thank you
