when I was a kid, you could hear the hydroplane boats 5,6 miles away on the Detroit river for the goldcup races. as a teenager we would go watch the races with a half a million other people on booze...lol..the sound and roster tails were thru the roof...

Those are REALLY neat engines, but it could just as easily be said that the 6-71 GM Diesel won the war too. Safe to say they both played crucial roles.
