Default Dempster Ind.

I took a little tour today of Dempster Ind. buildings in Beatrice Ne. It's the same buildings that they've had from the start, although some are in pretty bad shape. My neighbor has worked there for over 30 years starting out in their foundry, which has been gone now for at least 25 years.
one neat thing while looking around was the racks of patterns from all the wind mill heads and parts they have made over the last 130 yrs. My neighbor said that they've looked for the old engine patterns and never have found any, to bad. Except for a few pieces of newer CNC equipment, going through the place was like stepping back in time. Their business is pretty slow right now and the new owner is going through some financial dealings so there's only 6 men working in the plant and about that many in the office.
