Default 18-32 Case New Project

Earlier this summer while on our family vacation we stopped in to see a good friend of mine and see some of his collection. While there I noticed a couple nice looking tractors outside in his "bone yard". After doing some thinking I called him up and asked if any of the tractors outside where for sale, he said yes. I asked him about a couple crossmotor cases that he had. He told me that he had an 18-32 that was pretty much complete that he had overhauled but lost interest when something bigger came along. He pushed it outside and that is where it sat for about 2 years. We agreed on a price and the beginning of September my brother and I hopped in the pickup and made a 700 mile round trip to pick up the Case. Here it is. Most of the hard stuff is there like the manifold and air washer. I will need some fender brackets and misc parts and pieces. The tractor is loose and I actually put some gas in it and had it running for a few minutes last weekend.

Here are some pictures of the "projects" that got pushed in front of the Case, I would have probably done that same thing....

Looks like a great project! Are those 2 Rumelys? And what's the story on the Minnie?

It's not often you see Doug cut loose of a project. Got yourself a nice winter project there.

Yes, they are both "E" Rumelys. If you are talking about the tractor in the background of picture 1 thats an Avery that he's gathering parts for.

I have been slowly trying to get the gas tank and hood mounted on the 18-32 Case. Could anyone with a late k18-32 take some pictures of the gas tank mounting bracket. The hood I received with this tractor has the starting tank mounted to it with 2 straps. Some of the later K's have 2 brackets that come out from underneath the main tank and the starting tanks sits on the brackets. I am not positive what I need so any pictures would help. The serial number tag is missing from the fender on mine but 69586 is stamped on the frame, also mine has the bigger steering wheel. Thanks for your help.

The E engine in post 2 appears to have an early governor cover with squared edge on the back. Serial numbers of them?
