Photo Re: Classic Old Tractor Photos

Looks like a good place for me to re-post my pictures of the Reed Brothers Kinnard Haines Flower City tractor used in and around Afolke Illinois.

I have these 3 pictures of their tractor and a couple more pictures of a large portable hit & miss engine that they used up till the time they bought the tractor.

The upper picture in the first shot with the threshing rig parked in front of the barn is the one they submitted to Kinnard Haines for use in their advertising.

Hi, I don't remember where I got this picture, but it appears to be taken in UK looking at the church tower, I wonder if the titans are part of the 3000 that went over during the first war as part of the lease lend scheme, looks like the army are looking after them, I wonder what the poor soldier thought when he was sent out on a cold morning to start them all?

A couple of early Hart Parr's..

The bottom picture says that it was the first gasoline-kerosene plow engine in NW Kansas at Hoxie..In the mid 1970's I bought a 12-20 Wallis tractor from a large junk yard near Hoxie,KS...It seemed like it covered 80 acres and there was row after row..

Looking at the picture, in post #32, it seems the platform is cutting pretty low, so I don' think it's a header. I'm wondering if, instead of using a binder and shocking, then hauling to the machine, they cut the grain and, once the rack was full, they pulled it to the site where the thresher would be set up, and it, somehow, unloaded it as a stack to just be pitched into the feeder. Would require a lot fewer men to do the harvesting.

As per the 'testimonial' they sent in with their picture the thresher is an Advance 32x52 with self feeder and attached stacker.

They also mention the shredder in the other picture as being a 12 roll Advance Husker Shredder.

I believe they were already using BOTH of the Advance units with their previous power source which was a large portable engine.
