Had that happen once in a Model T Ford engine. Had to strip the block and have a new seat installed as the old one was too sloppy. That insert looks to me like it should be replaced with a new one and yes, also peen it into place.
Love those long fendered Allis'. Need one to round out my Allis collection!!

Hello Kyle and Phil
Thanks fore the comment.
We are going to put some new seats in
I am goin to show when the head is ready
When it happens on the show whe where thinking that the valve was broken , i think this is better.

Hi, Is the motometer one with the Allis Chalmers printed inside?
Very nice tractor.
I included a picture of one of my heads off a 1924 longfender,
I wish mine would have just had a bad seat!!!

Hello Paul ,
Thanks
Wats the Motometer ?, is it the oilpressure .
This one is serialnumber 6203.
By the Wendelbook it is 1923.
It was allready in this color when we bought it.
I think the color must be greener, this is more ocean blue.
butt the little lines are on it,we also want to make a exhaust wistle on it.

I have seen the little hole in your bad seat,
We had that before by a Huber 18-36 Super Four.
We try to welding it butt it was giving more cracks
We went back to the U.S.A. and we found a new one.
I think the best thing is to find a new head.
you wil find a new one yust like us .

I call the motometer the temp. gauge on the radiator cap.
We still have a long way on our restoration, but I am really enjoying the process.
Included a picture as our longfender stands now, it is kind of mess, the block and crank will be going to the machine shop this week or next.

Now the original motometer of ours was also missing.
We putt a boys on it (picture).

About your picture.
Wel you have to start somwere.
Whe have worser tractors restored.
Its stil a nice desireble tractor.
Our Allis Chalmers 20-35 longfender is the oldest Allis Chalmers in the Netherlands and i could be the oldest in Europe.
I never heart of another one.
If there are some vieuwers ho know somthing if there is a older one in a museum in Europe (U.K.) maby Allis Chalmers 10-18
