Hi all!! New to the board and learning a lot. Finally found a thread in which I could contribute to.

Congrats on the new truck!!! I know you'll enjoy it.

As far as extended warranties go, here are my thoughts:

In the last 14 years I have bought 3 new and 3 used vehicles and turned down the extended warranty option on all of them. They all went over 100,000 miles with basically zero issues. So far I am WAY money ahead.

I currently own a 2002 Duramax Dually 4x4 Crew Cab with 135,000 miles on it. I bought it in 2003 with 54,000 miles on it. The only thing thats been done to it besides regular maintenance, tires, and brakes, is--

2 rear U-joints
1 set of batteries
1 serpentine belt
1 radiator cap, and
1 water pump (cover under the 100,000 mile engine warranty at 99,000 miles).

I am VERY happy with it.
