Default Garden-All number four is home!

I went and retrieved my fourth Garden All walk-behind today. It is a model S with a sickle mower as you can see. Tires have some cracks where they sat flat for far too long, but after removing the nasty old valve cores and putting in good ones they aired up fine. Does anyone have a good clue as to the vintage of the Clinton? That would help to establish age.

My best guess would be early to mid 1950s. There aren't any serial number records for Clinton enignes like there are for Briggs engines.

Some of the Clinton engines have the block casting date near the output shaft. Not a real accurate production date but at least an idea. Doug T

Doug, will have to check that out, thanks, a rough estimate would be better than nothing.

My Clinton manual pages show the parts and diagrams listed as: Revised in July 1955 and supercedes Oct 1953 for this motor. Gary

Finally remembered to take a look at the block. It has 05-26-50 cast into the pto end. That would make it nearly 60 yrs old! Again thanks for the help all!
