Default 19 Century Dutch Horse Sleigh Lady Cape

Here is an very old/ancient Dutch lady/Woman horse sleigh cape.

These kind of things the lady, woman, girls had on when they where sitting in the horse sleighs in the snow an ice.
Not many of them have survived so most have fade away forever.

Notice in picture 2 the repair corner on the low right side,

Have an video out off the 20st Century with an woman wearing one.
Only that one is newer because the older ones have much more decoration.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wObsUvWmEWg

They where once hand made and hand stitch.

Yust some horse sleighs updates
All horse sleigs projects are running out.
Talked with Jaap and Jaap told the clothing specialist have became sick.
He is under safety of the hospital
We hope he wil come thru it.

We are planning now in Juli to post it all here.

Yust had an Email from Jaap about the horse sleigh projects.

The clothing specialst came home from the hospital.
They found some spots on his liver.
Hope the doctors can help him.
He is restart to work on the palace sleigh he realy want to finish it.
He found the right clothing and what was original in the palace sleigh (red).
There is an sample send out of this clothing towards us to give the good signal.
He realy want to know if it is 100 % good and right from us before he is going to place it in the chair of the sleigh because the malls in the chair was already an lot of work for the capitoneer preporation.
The Chair is also going to have the original brass rivet system like the puma sleigh of the Versailles.

This red wil also better fit to the red of the wooden gliders.

Keep you all up to date.
