Default Barn find gothic chair

hey stakers. got a call from a friend who said their barn was fallen down and if i was interested in anything before any damage. Didnt see much except this chair that was in the upstairs corner that had to come home with me. i loaded it up in my 55 and off i went.Can anyone date this chair or have something similar/same? Thank you

i spent almost 3 hrs cleaning this chair, and it cleaned up pretty good. i believe the mice got the best of the cushion you sit on. its missing

These chairs are called Dagobert Chairs King of the Franks also called as the Curule seat.
This is coming from Europe the old world.......

Very intrested in old furniture specialy when it is pin pointing towards France.

France was always the leader in the world making beautiful furniture, clocks and fashion.

I had one, it had ugly gold upholstery . I never did care for it, a friends wife wanted it so I gave it to them.

Firewoodguy DO not strip it ! just keep it like it is , can have seat redone , value goes way dome if patina is taking off

Guess the chair may be worth a little somethin? I like it,but really dont have the room for it. I never sold a chair in my life. can anyone give me a heads up/ estimate on what its value is?
