Default 18 Century Dutch War Ship Found

In 2002 Finland maritine divers found an ship wrek on the bottom of there sea.

The hole world jumped on this find because there was never found such an old wooden ship in such good condition looking so early and old.

For many years the hole world was busy in try to find out where this ship came from.

Wel shortly ago the mystery have been solved because they have found the Dutch War ship "House The Warmelo" (Huis te Warmelo).

House the Warmelo left Holland in 1715 Medemblik North Holland for an long voyage towards the northern European countrys and St. Petersburg.

Dutch historians Peter Zwart and Michel Bartels found an old sea map in the ships achief with the execly same location of where the ship sunk.

The thing I find interesting is the fact that the thing is so well preserved. Must be because of the cold water, anything left in the Med that long would be totally unrecognizable, warm water promotes decay.

I am surprised that looters have not stripped the ship! Any reports of the ship being raised or protected? Did the crew go down with the ship? Circumstances of the sinking? Inquiring minds would like to know!
