An stumblin find in Holland on an large antique fair in the middle in the old city town called Haarlem.

It is an original super rare antique Belgium draft Horse leather brass side brush set........

We have an weak hart for the old horse sleighs from the old Holland and rare stuff that once belonged towards the old Belgium draft horses.

I knew that these things once realy had exist but never have seen an real one.
The brush can be taken out to brush the giant horse in the fields.

Default Re: Antique Belgium Draft Horse Brush Set

Ok some updates coming up in this story and find.

First we dit some small restauration on the draft horse brush set.

The pictures showed the end result.

Then we went with the pictures of this item towards some antique horse stuff experts.

They say if this brush set is realy an old one then it is an super rare one and hard to find including the silver ones thatonce had exist aswel.

Then an second expert start to watch.
This is an real old horse harnass worker.
Not many of them realy dit survived.

Wel he is still checking some things so we are not done yet and maby so more roles out of this..

Now i going to write some things down here about his first thoughts.
Because i was an little bit shocked about it.

First i am going to say that i respect everybody his or her religion as long they do normal towards eacht others and see religion as an private or own thing.

Now i am going to tell what he told.

Most of the Belgium Draft Horses before the war where to find in the province of Zealand/Zeeland.
This Belgium Draft Horse Brush set realy had once belonged towards an realy fancy Draft horse.

No more then 90 % of the Zealand population before the war was another religion then Catholic.
He told this kind of fancy draft horse set was not to find under the farmers of Zealand before the war because they had not such an fancy stuff on there Draft horses.

Then there are 2 other spots of the Netherlands where it coult show up.
The first one is Brabandt.
Only Brabandt had always an lot more poor farmers because of the poor sand soil.

And then there is the old Holland.
The 2 provinces North and Zouth Holland / NoordHolland en Zuidholland.
The chance is very big that this Draft horse brush set realy was made and came from the old Holland.
Yust like most of the horse sleighs that we have post here in the past !.

Now i am going to tell something personal.
From origin we came out of the horses as an real horse nut family.
In arround half way of the 80’s we sold most of our horses off including our champion horse because of some difficult circumstances but we also dit not start to like the horse world anymore because of the horse fairs we always vizited.
The horse world was changing because they gave not prices out anymore for the horses its self and how they look but they start to gave prices out for the stables and the people behind the horses.
There was also an way other public coming towards the horse events and we where not alowed anymore to sleep with the horses during the events.
After that we went in the old tractors and changed from the horses towards the tractors.

Arround 6 til 7 ago we dit an huge discovery.
Now we only knew until that time that most of the horse sleighs in Holland are the Tikkers.
The Tikkers are the farmers and civilian sleighs and they where made with thousends of them and used by all religions.
Arround 6 till 7 years ago we dit an discovery that there where once all kinds of realy exotical horse sleigh models buld in the old Holland and done by the most high craftmenship workers in the old main city’s of Holland.

Now these kind of sleighs realy shoult be saved for the future.
And now i can understand why we found most of them as huge wreks and most of the people in Holland are not intrested in them because they are and once where to fancy.
There is an very big big part under the population of the Netherlands that have learn in there religon that you shoult and can not have treasures.

This is an large most uknown undiscovered spot for us where we found our horse treasures in the last years and bring them towards Smokstak.....

Now most of the horse stuff collect Smokstakers realy can understand now why we are doing this.
As long as we find them we wil rescue them and that wil also for this super rare Belgium draft brush set...
