I have no idea what things cost because that's not my job ( I work in the shut the hell up and do as you are told filthy peasant dept AKA electrical ha ha... )

Sometimes I need to hook up an Ethernet thing to a node someplace and its too far for CAT cable so I use an adapter that converts CAT to Coax and then back again.

Sometimes this is easy sometimes this is hard...
Sometimes there is old jack ass cable ( RG-11 a sort of hard service coax really thick with a steel band next too it ) from days gone by no longer in service that I tap into and use to carry the RF the mile or two I need and then switch off the Taps where ever they happen to be and go back to CAT cable for the final run.

No one knows the difference....
AS long as you have good cable you can improvise a lot of stuff...

I pushed to scrap all this and move to a LoRaw gateway.
Then we could push signal miles as long as it was line of site.
But see line one about the stupid peasents?
I forgot my place...

Thatís like my consulting work. People pay me for what I know. I advise them what will happen if they do what they say, they donít listen. Stuff goes wrong. Good thing I told them in writing in my report too! Sometimes they pay me again to fix what they paid to ask about the first time and didnít listen. It always costs more to redo things later but whatever, itís their money.

There are way too many dumb people out there. And ďstoopidĒ is twice as stupid as regular ďstupidĒ

So I added the carb heater and fuel pressure regular heater today. Supposed to be 30s coming this week so will see if they help with starting. I put a filter on the regulator to stop the spyders and bugs from clogging the vent tube. An open tube like that is asking for trouble.

Wow, it so shiny in there! I love when stuff is new. Seems like my usual first step working on anything is scrape away cobwebs and old oily gunk from stuff.

Where does the regulator heater mount? Iíve never used one of those.

I took that pic before I mounted it but it is on the left side of that pic. It mounts on the back of the regulator. I will post a pic of it mounted tomorrow.

I like the idea of the filter, however I am somewhat concerned about it’s location. The purpose of the two vent tubes on the regulator is to get the vent outlet out of the engine cooling airstream. I normally just tucked them up inside the wiring cover. For awhile they didn’t come with the tubes and it was the source of severe hunting at low speed during exercise. What you have may be fine.

Mark- The install guys just left the tube sticking up like the way you see in the pic. It seems short to reach the wire cover. I don't know if the guys cut it down or not.

Did you filter both tubes? I don't think both are necessary as I think they are connected internally. One should be enough if they are.

Mark- No, Just the one tube. I can't see where the other tube is going. There doesn't seem to be room for that filter on the other tube. Maybe look for a smaller filter. If one exists.

Mark- I just saw a you tube vid where both tubes had spider crap in them so I am researching a solution for the other tube. The other tube is tucked under the wiring cover. I don't think the filter will fit in there.
