Default Need some help to ID old corn cutter

I need some help to ID old horse drawn corn cutter. A few of the parts on it are very similar to my Dain corn cutters. Most of the parts are not in the John Deere /Dain Parts catalog thank you john

Sorry to say I can't help much with identification, just very cool to see a photo of one posted. My dad has another factory made one with a mostly wood frame. We keep it in the Blacksmith shop at Albany Museum. Being mostly wood, you'd think it would be light, but it is a two man job to pick up the end a roll it around. It does have a single bench seat instead of the two round ones pictured on yours.

I have a early wooden Dain in great shape and I have the later steel Dain in great shape this was thought to be a Dain when I got it. I thought it was a model between the early Dain and the later Dain ----JR

I just saw someone sell the yolk off one of these at an auction. Actually I didn't exactly see it sell; I would have paid more than this for it. I signed on to the auction (online auction) 10 minutes after that item was gone.

I tried to get the picture attached here but it is in some unfriendly format. Anyway it sold for more than $140

I have one identical. Came from SW Missouri. People like to think its Dain but no one can confirm.

Carl your corn cutters looks identical to mine except I have a blade guard that is retractable ( pulls back ) when I step on a pedal. I have the Dain parts catalog but I don't see any parts like on these corn cutters. when I brought it we all were thinking it was a Dain --- John
