Default Robin RGX3500 brushless

Working on this generator and running out of patience!! No power. The usual culprits have been replaced (diode, condensers) still no power. Next step is to replace the generator head with an aftermarket (Northern) gen head 2900 watts 120/240. Question is can I use the idle control feature of the Robin engine? The rest of the generator is like new and runs GREAT. Robin parts are OUTRAGEOUS in price,a new rotor is $549!!! Any advice is appreciated.

The permanent magnets in the rotor still seem to have plenty of pull, but the thing is dead. Tried new diode and surge suppressor, and everything else checks OK. Problem is I already spent $300 in parts and no juice. I have a gen-head coming from Northern and will be mounting that to the Robin engine.Would have liked to keep it OEM but the $1000 for the factory gen head is a bit too much versus the $299 from Northern. Thanks-Chuck.
