military generator ground , hurricane is coming

Default military generator ground , hurricane is coming

l1 hot l2 grounded and hot????

these give me 120volts

where do i hook up the green ground wire for a ground prong on a plug?

hook it to l2 also???????

seriously, i need help and dont understand electricity

L1 = hot leg L2 = nuetral green wire is ground and is connected to the frame of the gen set.

The frame of the generator should also be grounded to earth by means of a ground rod. It would make for a bad day if you went to check your generator a got a shock while it was running because it was not grounded to earth.
