Default Dayton motor bicycle motor

Was on eBay and wanted to give a heads up to the Dayton Motor Bicycle guys since these rarely come up - partial Dayton Motor is on eBay

Item #222343940010

Also trying to research the connection of Smith Motor Wheel and Dayton. From Tom Bartlett's book, it appears that a gentleman named George Gorman used a Smith engine for prototype, then George Huffman filed for patent and I assume that they engineered their own motor using the Smith as a template.

I am reaching out to Tom Bartlett to see what info he has to clarify since there seems to be a rumor that Smith made these for Dayton, which seems unlikely.
