Exclamation Rawleigh Schryer, Zeigler Schryer & Rawleigh Engine Registry

I 've started an engine registry for Rawleigh Schryer, Zeigler Schryer & Rawleigh engines. I presently have 30 engines registered from 6 States. If you own an engine(s) or know of someone that does please contact me. Include engines name, HP, SN. Cooling type & your name and address. You will receive a newsletter from time to time and a serial number list sometime in August. Your address will not be handed out to anyone without your prior permission.

I'm planning a National Show June 16-18, 2006 in conjuntion with the Crawford Antique Farm Machinery Assn. Bucyrus, Ohio. (Crawford Farm Show - Bucyrus. Crawford Antique Farm Machinery Assn., Ralph Hart, 3866 Crestline Rd., Bucyrus, OH 44820, 419-562-2956)

The engine registery Mission Statement (Committed to the gathering, recording and sharing of historical facts. Through the registering, exhibiting and just plain old fashion fellowship with the owners of these old engines. To insure future generations the knowledge and instill upon them the passion that we have for this line of fine old gas engines.)

David M.-
Your 2 1/2 HP engine will have the letter B as a prefix and not the letter E. This is the early style engine that has the speed change lever on the side of the water hopper. An engine with the letter E for a prefix would be a much larger engine. Take a good close look at your tag again and I think you will see that it is actually a model B. Hope this helps you out!

I presently have 95 engines registered. With a few more out there in the wings. Every thing for the show is all set with a good turnout exspected. It has been alot of work but I have learned alot about these engines and met many new friends in the process. Check Harry's Show Calendar June 16 - 18 Bucyrus, Ohio for more info on show.

I have three Rawleigh engines. First, a 1 1/2hp Rawleigh/Schryer #Z5368, then a 1 1/2hp Rawleigh -W.T.Rawleigh #AA18698 with a Webster magneto, and last a 1hp Leader with a pumpjack built on and Leader pump attached #Z9321. The Leader is of the same style as the other "Z" style listed but has the pumpjack cast to the rear. I'd also sold another engine to a fellow in Wisconsin, it was #AA11408 and if I remember it was a 1 1/2hp.
I would like to get a copy of any serial list you have. I can send pictures of these engines if needed.

I just aquired a 1&1/2 H.P. Manitoba horitzontal engine mfg in Brandon Man. It is missing the igniter and the crank gaurd. It has had the governor control lever alltered, and the oiler has been repaired with fiberglass cloth The serial tag lists as being # now git this 666

Here's another one for the registry. Picked up today -on the original skids with the original gas tank, battery box and starting crank. Also seems to still have some original paint, but need to clean it to be sure. Nothing broken or missing. Sale listing stated it as a -approx 2hp double flywheel engine. It also has a Duplex Manf'g Co tag -Superior, Wisc.
Data: Rawleigh Schryer, 1 1/2hp, 500 rpm, serial #AA 10075.

I went to the sale to check out the 5 engines listed and was quite surprised to find this in such nice shape, just very dirty.
