two old wrenches- looking for info

Default two old wrenches- looking for info

Both are stamped steel- one says GALE on one side and DC849 on the other.

The Second say JD 50 on one side and nothing on the other

what were these used for <besides tightening and loosening nuts >

i bet that the one with JD on it is a john deere wrench. thats my guess, they were mostly used for tightening and loosening nuts, might also be used to persuade someone to work for you in the old days too
