The reason I said the Baraboo, Wi one is a 20, is I believe that is the one I saw at Jeff Lund's shop, getting repaired. If the same engine, it is a 20? Also the first time I have taken a cover off the balanced valve, and saw how it works.

Gary, note that Cooke's 16 (13) also has the balanced valves on it. Plus the round axle. My 25 has the round axle, 1909, so there are several years of round axle Reeves, not E-B, out there. But, most of the US balanced valves were put out after 1912 when EB took over. Leads me to think it is an EB, with a Reeves door? Not sure.

Gary,

What happened to Doris' 16? It seems like Steve Green from IL has a 16 Reeves that he was advertising for sale earlier this year. Might they be one in the same??

This thread was settling to the bottom, here's the lastest updates. I know there will be more.

Beth

While we have the Reeves juices running, does anyone have additional 16's or further information to report?

Thanks
Beth

The 16hp ds Reeves that Steve Green had is #7952 which now resides at Galty Farms in Piper City IL. Is there any dirt on this engine floating around my dad and I would be curious as to the history of the engine

Isn't 1698, located in Wisconsin a 16, or is it a 13? I think it is a double simple.....

Thanks Gary!

I have all the stuff, (metal to roll, and original boot top base thanks to Melvin Pierce) to make the one for mine, I just have not had time lately!!! I would like to get it done for this summer, but still not sure on that one...

I'm digging this old thread back up in hope of some pictures to help my brother put the platform on his 16 Reeves. The new Stutzman boiler has arrived and he is in mid transfer. The old platform is broken and the supports are missing. He has toyed with the idea of making it like the 32, but ......

Here are a few photos of the project. He's also going to need more babbitt....those square corners have more room than the square corners!

Don A & Dan G...perhaps we will see you at Harold's sale later this month and you can impart your wisdom?

Thanks!

Beth,

Looks like progress is moving quick. Will it be at NTA this year?
