The 20 DS Reeves in Faulkton SD is owned by the Browns. I've spoken to them at the Andover SD show (where they also show their 16) but don't know much about the engine, other than that it's an EB engine with the built-up drivers. I don't have any serial number info, but here's a picture from the Andover show a couple years ago.

hear is picture of s/n6635 1912 20hp ds owned by Jamie Reider. this was taken 2008 at Hamilton MO show. I had the pleasure to run this engine a few laps pulling the cat grader.
this engine has the reeves power steering, throttle is over head mounted in canopy post, and has the full canopy past the smoke stack. A real nice engine!
happy steaming David

**Added to the list. Thanks! Beth**

Colin,

No clue without serial numbers. We may have some repeats in the list due to the unknown.....but I'm certain that we can figure that out!

Thanks for the photos.

David,

Do you have more photos of the platform, etc?

Thanks,

Beth

Colin,
The 20 HP at 'Stoon was the FIRST steam engine I ever pulled the throttle on.

David,
I know the Reeves catalogs of circa 1906-07 show the rear of a 32hp with extension rims and a similar box. This picture of yours of the first prototype 20hp Highwheeler is the only actual photograph I've ever seen of one of those boxes on an engine. I also notice they used front wheels for a 32hp for the front wheels of this prototype. The other 20hp engines used an all steel builtup wheel, so didn't have the spoke "bumps" inside the front rims. I've often wondered what they were doing with the steam line from the dome into the factory building? Perhaps the building's heating boiler was down and this Highwheeler became the heat?

Do you also have the photograph Haston used in his book on page on the bottom right hand corner of page 23? I always thought that was neat with the guy holding his hand up to show off those 8' tall drivers.
Gary
