Default Rumely Oil Pull L 15-25 Parts and Advice Wanted

Hello smok stak friends. I am new to this site. This looks like a good way to get and share info about our hobby. I recently purchased a Oil Pull model L 15-25 that does run but needs restored. It will only run from the small fuel tank on the fender as the main fuel pump needs rebuilt. I plan a total restoration so any help is appreciated. It was missing the entire air intake system, but I did get the air filter canister, the hoop bracket to support it, and the support bar for the top stack. I still need the top stack and cap, the two clamps to support it, and the cast pipe with choke lever that goes to the carburetor. This tractor has the cooling oil tank sitting in front of the exhaust-radiator stack. Is this correct? Most I have seen are back by the engine. I think it is a 1926 as the serial # is 3175. The fenders may need replaced or a lot of work. I Would appreciate help with parts and any info to get this old piece of history ready for shows. I will keep you posted on the progress. Thanks!

Still have not heard from anyone on my parts on this post, but I have talked to some people at the Portland Ind. show who gave me some great info. The cooling oil tank was moved up by the exhaust stack for oil expansion reasons. Odies Rumely was at the show who told me this as well as how to clean the radiator and lots of other stuff. I got my head and exhaust gaskets at the show as well as the clutch discs and decals. I was told I could make the air intake stack and cap, but I still need the cast iron pipe from the carb to the air filter. If I can not find one then will have to have one cast from a fellow collector who would let me borrow one. I sent some pictures so you could see what I have. They are from when I just got it home from Pennsylvania, ( still on the trailer ) and some of the top of the carb and the parts I already have. There are also some pics on my other post, John Deere D carburetor troubles. Anyone with parts, information or just wants to share something, please reply. I will be tearing into this tractor over the winter and will need help from you experienced Rumely people out there.

His stak name is Bubbles and he has an ad in engine ads right now for fuel pumps.
The radiator is a time consuming piece to rebuild/repair. Take pictures and mark or take note each pieces orientation when you pull it apart (you'll be thankful upon reassembly).
Any water that gets in the radiator sections rusts pin holes in the bottoms and dirt collects around them sealing them off. When you clean the dirt out between sections you'll usually developed a nasty leak. Just my experiences with oilpulls

Yes, I have heard about the radiators on these. Most people out at Portland told me to pull it out of the frame, gently clean it and test it with no more than five # air pressure. Odies suggested to take it to a caterpillar repair shop because they know best about low pressure testing. I will not pull it apart unless needed. Another thing that is going to have to be taken care of is the shaft and belt pulley. It must have ran loose for a long time as the key between these is wore out and the holes where it fits wore too. I have friends who have a machine shop and are able to fix that along with any other problems. They have a Rumely W. I am sure there will be a lot to learn along the way.

Welcome to the stak! That is one beatiful tractor you have right there, lots of nice original paint too, hope you'll do like Craig A. says and "leave the paint in the can" when you restore it. I've got a really rough L that came from near the Gulf Coast of Louisiana, wish I had something as nice as yours to start with.

Sorry guys, but this old tractor is going to look as close to coming out of the factory as I can. Some like the keep it the way it is look, but I like a nice painted one. I know it will be hard to keep clean as it is an oil puke.

I'll second Mike, originals are getting less and less these days and once you paint it then you'll never get it back , here's some original decals that are still on my 20 30

Barth it is your iron,

But if you paint it then it wil never be Rumely factory paint from the time your Rumely was made.

The paint these days is more syntatic and harder then it was then.

Take the time with think for this one.
