Default How do I use an Onan build sheet.

I know what a build sheet is. I have occasionally requested manuals and the build sheets were provided to me as well. But occasionally I have seen members request a build sheets only for their units.

How do you incorporate a build sheet in with the Maintenance, parts , and other manuals .
Is it used in case your unit has been Frankensteined and you want to know its true options when it left the factory ?

I know that it has been said that there are no stupid questions and ..... I am probably pushing the envelope here, but I had to ask.
Thanks

I use it mainly to get the wiring diagram number so I can post the diagram to help people out.

The option list occasionally comes in handy when checking for things like a dual fuel carburetor or extended stack from a Craigslist post prior to seeing it in person.

Not pushing the envelope, it's a good question. Maybe someone else has an additional use.

The rotor and stator numbers on them can sometimes be helpful.

The build sheet will only tell you what it left the factory with. Plus any changes are updates at the time. Will not list anything put on at a later date. It is good to have when looking up print numbers and other information.

There is no stupid question. If you knew you wouldn't be asking.
