Default Sylvester auction - Hart-Parr Oil King?

I was just looking at the listing for the forthcoming Sylvester auction, which is on the Aumman Auctions website here: http://www.aumannauctions.com/auctio...e.php?pid=4211

I believe Mr Sylvester used to own a Hart-Parr "Oil King" tractor, but I can't see any mention of it in the listing. Does anyone know if they are keeping this tractor back, or if it has already been sold?

David

Hello David,
I remember seeing the Oil King when I was there in 1994, very nice tractor and a marvellous collection, Wes Sylvester was a great collector he talked about the family breaking sod in the prairies with the Oil King, lots of interesting stories told that day, not many people left who remember using one of those tractors. Hope it is in safe keeping.

Malcolm.

Jerome Swedberg had a single cylinder Hart Parr Oil King like the one in this post. He was secretary and then some at Rollag show in the mid-late ninties.
It was a very nice one, but I do not know if he and his machine is still there

Jerry is still going strong at Rollag, his son Henry is picking up alot of the slack. Jerrys 12-27 road king is on loan somewhere might be at Floyd County museum.

I think Jerry's is the one from the Marhanka auction.
