Default Nooitgedacht horse and an pair early wooden beauty/clean skates

Going to bring in an coople very special items on the horse chanel of Smokstak today.

First is the Nooitgedacht family child horse.
Found this child horse an coople months ago on our own attick.
To see in picture 1 with the Nooitgedacht company logo on the back of the wagon.

The Nooitgedacht company is an very early company 1865 that made wooden tools, toys and skates.

http://nooitgedagt-ijlst.nl/

The company stopt with skates and toys arround the 70ís because they where to expensive in compair towards steel an plastic skate and toy makers.

The Tool company stil exist under an American name.

Now in the years we also collected early skates.
We have already an coople of the moste early skates (the ones with the curled front sections).
But last week an coople very intresting showed up on an flee market that we do not have yet.in our collection.

These where called the clean skates or beauty skates.

The clean an beauty skating is an very old almost forgotten sport that gos back towards the golden age.
We can say that this kind of skating was the first skate sport way before the figuren skating you have now.

Here is an video of the figure skating how it is now.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wazOhkRuySI

Now for many years the Dutch skate federation is asking towards the Olympic games committy to pull this sport also in there groups of sports.
Until today the Olympic games committy do not want this.

For the first time i am going to show the smokstakers an coople old skates that once belonged towards the early Dutch clean/beauty skating from the same Nooitgedacht toy, skate and Tool company with an coople videoís how this early skating looks that the Olympic games do not want to have in there skates sports events.

The early clean and beauty skating.....

Today an super rare set of ancient skates roled in.

They where children skates from 200 till 300 years ago.

I have placed them under the most ancient skates that we already had ..

We have now 15 pairs of ancients wooden skates but never found the ancient child ones until today.......

Also going to search for the wooden, carton boxes that once belonged towards these ancient skates.

We bought an lot wooden skates today on an church flee market.

There was one coople not wooden but we had to buy them.

It was an original girls clean skate coople from the 50’s from that once belonged towards the so big world skate factory that stopt in the 70’s with skate and wooden toy making.
The rest of the company (the tools) became American.

Here is an original set of girls skates from the 50’s with the original box...

Neat......I knew a girl in grade school, then high school who was a figure skater of some note. She had these exact skates! Her dad brought them back from Germany after a business trip for a machine tool company in Beloit, WI.

I'll send her the photos and story and see if she'll respond here.

God bless.

She made those 'snowball' pom poms or whatever you call them out of red and white yarn, our school colors. They hung from the bottom of the shoe laces on the toes.

I just had my hockey skates...... they never plowed snow, or not much anyway back then. We used to grab on to the bumpers of slow cars and crouch down and get pulled the ten blocks to the skating rink. One evening they had sanded Hackett Street.....ass over teakettle when we hit that stuff!!
