Default Robert Bell engine for sale in Russia?

I came across this engine advertised for sale on a Russian website, and wondered if anyone recognized it?

They also have some kind of contraption which they say derives from a Canadian-built Hamburg Mfg Co. narrow-gauge locomotive.

Not wanting to steal your thread but this is about as good a place to put this. Had a chance to tour the old Bell foundry, as the locals called it, on Monday. Not much old stuff left. Saw a German boiler for a narrow gauge train plus the new replacement. They built one for a steam tracked Lombard log hauler a few years back. Some older machine tools and a flanger that has something to do with forming the transition from firebox to boiler, I think, you steam people can correct me. Only live a few miles away but this was my first chance to see inside. New heating boilers being made but not much old stuff. If son has time he may post a couple of pictures, I don't know how.

David,
The Bell rings a, um, bell! There is maybe a picture of that around here somewhere from a sale north of Toronto many years ago. Someone was trying to create sumpin!??!
The one with the New Hamburg engine smokebox door was listed for sale around here for a while a couple of years back. Seems to me it has a gas engine incorporated in it too? He wanted good bux for it. Looks like a Sawyer-Massey boiler. How it came to have the New Hamburg door is a mystery as they are fairly scarce. We tried making a deal to trade for the door or borrow it as a pattern for a project here - to no avail.
Can't vouch for boiler condition.
RM.

Thanks for the info on this G. What did this New Hamburg/Sawyer-Massey vehicle start out as then - a steam tractor or rail loco?

I did wonder whether these engines are actually in Russia, or whether they are still in Canada or maybe Europe, and they are testing the water to see if someone might be interested. However, the same company did recently restore a steam fire engine that was definitely pictured in Russia, and which came from England a few years ago.

David,
Looks like somebody was trying to build a road loco around the S-M boiler? Not sure what the motor units are?
There was a buyer here a number of years ago from Poland as well. He bought a Goodison engine at an auction. Paid fairly well for it too when you consider subsequent shipping charges.

The road locomotive was built by Stan Gorman of Oakville in the 1960 ,later purchased by The Kawarta Engineers of the Shiners of Peterborough, then several years ago by Dave Carlaw of Campbellford. The boiler was a 17 hp sawyer massey. It is not certifiable.

The engines are from a winching unit. The boiler was to small to supply steam if one was running the unit continually.

Some more info on the owner: http://www.klasika.us/en/2012/07/25/...nikos-muzieju/

Does anyone recognise this engine? Can't be too many of them around.
