Default Stover Dragsaw Clutch

I just got a stover dragsaw and was thinking that the clutch is missing some parts. Does anyone have a picture of this clutch and could you post please? this is the only picture I have right now. I have the clutch removed and will post pictures tomarrow of the indivual pieces.
Thanks for all the help.

Wendel's "Power in the Past" Vol.3 has a couple of pictures of Stover drag saws. From those pictures, it appears that you are only missing the clutch hand wheel.

As you pull out on the hand wheel, the tapered collar that the handwheel is attched to slides on the shaft. The two fingers ride on this taper and pivot out, pushing in the 2 pins. the 2 pins push on the friction plate which engages the sprocket. Hope that helps. I have a picture of my disassembled clutch in the dragsaw group.

Eric.

Did you ever find anything on this? I am restoring a 1922 patent model and trying to find the friction portion of the clutch. I have the handle and clutching mechanism. There are two steel pens that are levered into something that was probably a disk. Trying to find a picture so I can replicate. Thanks.

Thanks, I have the book but it doesn't show the clamping mechanism (hooks or whatever) up front.

According to Wendel's they didn't start making them until 1924.
The clutch is just metal to metal as far as I can tell on both sides of clutch disks.
