Default Allora Heritage Weekend 26-27th of January 2019

Hello all
It's on again. The Allora Heritage Weekend is on during the Australia Day weekend 2019.
A few new things happening so if there's any questions ring the people on the flier.
The website for the event http://alloraheritageweekend.org.au/home

I'll add some pictures of past events as time goes by just so people can see what they could expect.

Cheers Scott

We all want to see a pic of the "Hot Chip" stand first.

Sorry Cobba. No pictures of the "Hot Chips" shop so this will have to do. The Famous Chook Cooker.
It is one of the best (and yummiest) displays I've ever seen at a machinery rally.

Cheers Scott

A few of the trucks from last year.

And my favourite was this Foden.

Ah yes, stood there watching that. With the "Bulimba Beer" shelter in the background.

Planning on dragging the 'van down with the Inter this year. Sleep in comfort, for once!

Jarrod.

Hello Jarrod.
Goodo then. You'll be able to put some faces to names hopefully.

10 days to go. The working bee is on this coming Sunday and then the rally the week-end after. The weather seems to be hot and dry for the moment so bring your cold refreshments. Dehydration is a bad thing.
Anybody need anything special?

I've kept it quite but I was lined up to miss out on the rally again this year due to some more surgery on the 24th.
They rang last Friday asking if I'd mind if it was delayed a week. I told them that it would upset all my organising but that should be OK.
Now to find an engine or two that'll run.

Cheers Scott

We'll go cars this time for pictures.
Mrs Scotty wants one of these.

That is just 'genetics' Scotty as to why she wants that one. We have an early Citreon station wagon local here but I don't know which house as yet. It is an early 1960s' model that has hydraulic suspension that drops to the ground when shut off and raises up when started.

Leaving things a bit late, as usual....
I got the caravan suspension fixed last week, so it's ready to go.

This morning I went to do "a quick oil and filter change and tuneup" on the Inter.
The best laid plans......thought the exhaust flange was loose (it was), but the leaks were from the manifold gasket! Unpleasant job with a hot manifold (did the valves hot as per book - well worth it - so much quieter)
All up close to 8 hours' work!
Wash it tomorrow, hopefully all ready for Friday.

Jarrod.

Hello all
Goodo then Jarrod.
Some engine type people might find some changes at the grounds. The chook shed has been extended towards the dunnies. A bit less room for caravans and camping. I'm sure everyone will sort themselves out.

Cheers Scott

Do you think he's saying....bugger, bugger, bum, poo?
