This is a photo of an engine we owned 40 or more years ago. It is unbranded and looks a lot like a Standard separator engine. It was originally coupled to a generator, so the tin-plate shroud was fitted. It was seamed together like a tin can. Not usually seen on Standards is the enclosed gear drive for the magneto. Angled cooling fins can just be seen too. It was also fitted with a rev counter. No, not a tacho! So, is it a Standard or something else?
