Default Venom Winch 12V DC Winch Control

Thoughts on using for 110V AC in dry?

I have a similar controller on a DC winch. The electricals are very light duty, and operate relays at the winch to do the heavy work. The controller is too light to handle the amps directly. You didn't specify your application, but if you don't need a hand-held unit, how about one of these? (cheaper, too)

You can buy 110v pendant controllers for less than the 12v one you posted. Even those are typically low amperage switches, so you would still need relays. $$$ A drum switch is simpler/cheaper.

"Back in the day" (way before OSHA) I worked in a machine shop that had an overhead electric hoist. It had a drum switch mounted on the trolley. The switch had a rocker (see-saw) arm on it and a loop of light weight chain that hung down to operator height. The rocker had a centering spring so that the winch stopped when the operator let go of the chain.
